From a bare PC to your first session.
Follow it in order, or jump to the part you need. Button names are written as they appear in the English-language app.
01Preparation
Prepare the PC that will actually be used to run the game. The license is bound to that PC, so do not start on a borrowed one.
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with the PURPLE client installed and Lineage 2M able to open.
- A stable internet connection, for activation and periodic license checks.
- A screen large enough for all the game windows. The windows must be visible, not minimized, and not overlapping.
- The Windows clock set automatically.
Detailed system requirements are on the Download page.
02Install and open
- Get the package from the Download page.Match the file's SHA-256 against the one listed there.
- Install or extract. The installer will ask for Administrator rights. If you use the portable ZIP, extract all of its contents into one folder; do not run it from inside the archive.
- Open GMI L2M.The app runs as Administrator so that input reaches the game window. Approve the Windows prompt.
- Choose a language. The Language option is in the app: Indonesian or English.
App data is stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\GMI-L2M: logs, recordings, Teach results, and evidence files. The installation folder is never written to.
03License activation
A release build requires an active license. Activation is done inside the app, on the PC that will be used, with an activation code from the admin.
- One code for one PC. Once active, the license is checked periodically over the internet.
- A successful activation does not start the bot. Nothing runs until you press Start.
- Without an active license, Start runs nothing.
- If there is a license problem, do not change the Windows clock or copy the data folder to another PC. Neither fixes anything; contact the admin through the official channel.
The activation screen is being prepared for the release build. Its screen-by-screen steps will be added to this section once the release opens.
04Get to know the Dashboard
- Open the game until your character appears. Not just the launcher or the login screen. GMI L2M recognizes windows whose title starts with
Lineage2M. - Press Reload windows. Each game window appears as one card. If it says "No Lineage2M window yet", make sure the game is open, then reload.
- Read the card.Status (Stopped, Running, Waiting for screen, Under attack, Stuck, Error), HP, and the last action. Its details show the Capture, AI, and Loop times.
While the status is still Stopped, no key press or click is sent to the game.
05Character settings
Open Settings, choose a Character, then set it up tab by tab. Each character has its own settings.
- Main: Repeating keys, Party & heal, Priority 1 · Low HP, Priority 2 · Medium HP, Priority 3 · High HP, and Unreadable HP.
- Radar, Weapon, Mouse & Teleport, and Others for the routine modules: radar, weapon switching, teleport and town, boss, quests, dailies.
- Search settings… finds an option without opening the tabs one by one.
- Press Save. The "Unsaved changes" notice disappears once it is saved.
- Key and heal rows take effect only after that character's bot is restarted.
Settings folder
Settings are saved as settings.json. Its folder is chosen with Choose AutoKey folder… on the Settings page. If that folder does not contain a settings.json yet, GMI L2M creates one when you save. If a file from AutoKey L2M is already there, its contents are read as they are.
Excluding bosses
In the boss settings, Exclude bosses is a set of name checkboxes. What gets matched is the text of the boss name on screen; if a boss is not skipped, add part of its name under Other text.
06First session
Start with one character and one module. Add the others once the first one looks right.
- Switch on only a little. For example, just repeating keys and the HP priorities. Leave boss, town, and dailies off for now.
- Press Start on one card.Do not go straight to Start all.
- Watch the game window and its card. The last action on the card should match what happens in the game.
- Press Stop.Wait for the status to return to Stopped. Make sure the stop button works before you go any further.
F9 starts or stops all windows. For a single character, use the button on its card.
Test bosses first with a character that has no diamonds. During boss teleport and the boss schedule, the paid teleport button can get pressed too. See the notes in Feature status.
07Many accounts
From nine windows up, the Dashboard shows a status wall and compact rows. The density can be forced with Auto, Cards, or Compact.
- Filters: All, Running, Stopped, Need a look. The count on each filter is always current.
- Find an account or group… filters by name.
- Select: click a tile to select it, double-click to see its row. Select all selects everything currently shown.
- The action bar appears when something is selected: Start, Stop, Resolution, Group…, Copy settings…
- Copy settings… overwrites the settings of the selected accounts with those of the source account. Accounts that are running are skipped, and each account keeps its target resolution.
- Arrange windows lays out the windows of stopped accounts on the monitors you choose; then press Arrange now. Accounts that are still running must be stopped first.
When the PC is at its limit
The Dashboard shows "Detection load …% · wait … ms". One detector is shared by all accounts in turn; when it says the detector is at its limit, every account is scanned less often and reacts more slowly. Reduce the number of accounts, or move some to another PC.
08Teach
The built-in reference images and click points come from one kind of client. If your client differs in language, resolution, or HUD scale, some of them may not match. The Teach page replaces them with your own.
- Run the bot for a short while. Each routine registers the points and images it uses. Until then, the Teach list is empty.
- Teach point.Pick a point, press Teach point, then click the right spot in the game window.
- Capture template. For a reference image, open the relevant screen in the game, then capture it.
- Try again.Anything that has been replaced is marked Taught. Restore default undoes it.
09Overlay
The overlay shows status on top of the game window. It is click-through, never takes focus, and is not picked up by the bot's capture.
- Set Show, Opacity, Position, Bot's eyes, and Compact.
- Bot's eyes draws what the bot is currently recognizing on screen.
- The overlay turns itself off when Windows cannot hide it from the image the bot reads, for example over Remote Desktop or on Windows 10 before version 2004.
10Recordings and triage
The recorder is always on. The Recordings page holds sessions and stall bundles.
- A wait for a screen that passes 20 seconds marks that account Need a look, and a diagnostic bundle is saved.
- Triage reads the bundle and explains: which screen was open, which matcher almost matched, and a suggested action. It does not need the internet.
- Replay runs the bot's decisions again from the recording.
- Open folder opens the bundle's folder, in case it needs to be sent when you ask for help.
Ask Claude is optional. The button sends the last image and a summary of one bundle to Anthropic, after you approve it, and requires your own API key. Without that button, no recording leaves your PC.
11Evidence
The Evidence page counts from the recordings of real sessions on your PC: which steps are proven to work, which fail, and why.
- One step is one wait for a screen. It is Proven when its last three attempts succeeded, Failing when its latest attempt failed or stalled, and Seen otherwise.
- For a failing step, it shows the matchers that never matched while waiting, with the score that came closest to the threshold.
- Create evidence file writes one small file in the data folder, in the
evidencesubfolder: numbers and step names only, with no screen images, settings, or character names.
Its limit: this page only knows what was recorded. Proven means the screen it was waiting for appeared three times in a row; features with no wait for a screen, such as repeating keys, do not show up as steps.
12Troubleshooting
A game window does not appear on the Dashboard
Open the game until your character appears, restore the window if it is minimized, then press Reload windows.
Key presses do not reach the game
Make sure GMI L2M is running as Administrator. Without that, Windows blocks input to the game window.
"HP not read yet"
Make sure the window is not covered by another window and the HP bar is visible. Also check the target resolution and the HUD scale in the game. If it stays that way, send a problem report together with an evidence file.
An account is marked Need a look
Open its row to see what it is waiting for, then open Triage on its stall bundle on the Recordings page.
Reactions feel slow with many accounts
Check the detection load on the Dashboard. If it is at its limit, reduce the number of accounts running on that PC.
Still not solved
Create an evidence file, fill in the problem report template, then send it through the official channel.
13Updating
- Stop all.Press Stop all, wait until every account is Stopped, then close the app.
- Install the new package from the Download page.Match its SHA-256 checksum first.
- Test one character.Your settings, Teach results, and recordings are still there. Even so, try one account before Start all.
Get to know it first. Run it when you are ready.
Read the guide, check the status of each feature, and decide in your own time.
